, very strong flow, right into northern california. and the jet stream is kind of like mother nature's path of least resistance. storms like that. and they're going to follow that right into northern california for friday, saturday, sunday, even christmas eve morning. we're looking at rainfall and we likely will see anywhere from two to three inches of rain, even in the bay area, with double that in the north bay mountains. our computer predicts about an inch for santa rosa. double that for ukiah. rain is here by the morning commute tomorrow. windy too. rain heavy at times through sunday but skies will clear out for santa claus. san jose, 56. mid 50's for concord. so we're wet right on through the weekend. monday, christmas eve, that's the one mainly dry day. rain moves back by late christmas day and we're soggy next week as well. >> yeah. we were talking about the fact that santa doesn't really need ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and >>> hi. stay with us on this. across most of the world, tomorrow has already arrived, so it's today there, and so far doomsday has not arrived. >> no. but if you're stil

december. this december we have storm track stuck pretty much right into northern california. every time there's a storm or front moving through we've been getting significant rainfall. today was no exception. the question is, when is the next storm? it'll get here on friday. between now and then, all day thursday we're dry. another storm will move in bringing back some rain for friday and saturday. after that we really dry out. heaviest rainfall is done. we'll still be wet at times. scattered showers out there tomorrow morning. rain moves out by tomorrow afternoon. san jose tomorrow 55. santa clara 55. mountain view 55. danville, 54 degrees. downtown san francisco, 53 degrees. extended forecast. dry on thursday. rain one more time friday and saturday. nothing too heavy. prolonged break. sunday and monday, first day of 2013 and likely well beyond that we will be mainly dry. get to sunday, we'll see a big pattern change. that's your cbs 5 forecast. >> some key nba plays from the day. we have five games. and 'tis the season, a top five highlight reel to remember. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, >>>

northern california and bay area again. watch this green blob. i've colored that area to show you all this moisture. it is going to pour on sunday, and we're looking at a couple more inches of rainfall. let's look at futurecast. look at all this rainfall. the color in purposing, that's most of the bay area with even more for the north bay and north bay mountains. it's going to get wet, just not tomorrow. heavy rainfall moves in late saturday, through the morning on sunday, with all the rain finally out of here by 4:00 on sunday. mid 60's tomorrow. average highs, 60. 64 for san francisco, oakland, 66. mountain view, 6 6. we dry out on monday. just a few showers tuesday and wednesday. thursday and friday, mainly dry. one more round tomorrow night, and then we're looking much, much dryer. >> that's a good thing. >> i'll plan for that. >> i live in a very low neighborhood, so i have three pumps, one in the backyard, one in the pump. you know what i'm buying next? a kayak. >> wow. >> it's a lot. >>> coming up, legendary performer glen campbell, very bittersweet good-bye. ,,,,,,,,,, brooke

of northern california. good evening, everybody. let's head outside. foggy evening. the city by the bay where we've seen less than .05 of rainfall. let's check in on our radar. this system has. falling apart at the seams. still noting precipitation. heading towards the open bay waters. we also have light rain to moderate precipitation. it's wet in hayward at this hour. this is where the bulk of the activity is. broke in half, lifted up towards the greater lakota hoe area. we'll have that forecast for you. first thing is first, with a blanket of clouds, a scattered shower into the 40s. feels very raw outside. we will occasionally see right rain tomorrow. extended forecast calls for very active weather pattern. this is an area of low pressure. it hits the north bay and falls apart. this is future cast. you can plan your morning commute. from time to time you may need that umbrella. it will be short lived. more of a nuisance and wet roadways. we begin to clear out on wednesday only to set the stage for more rainfall by the weekend. up to 8 inches of snow expected. temperatures across t
